Adventure Day 2

 

The Extra in it’s flying attitude as the AME’s do a final calibration of the Aspen EFIS system.

 

Doing the after-start checks in the Extra prior to my first solo flight in the aircraft.

Today began with another flight with Craig.  We worked on a number of air exercises; snap rolls, point rolls and vertical rolls.  After lunch we fitted the single canopy to the aircraft and I did my first solo flight in the Extra test flying the single canopy.  The flight was cut short by approaching thunderstorms, and shortly after I landed the sky turned dark and it began to rain.  We spent the remainder of the day hanging out with Craig and packing for the flight home.  We’re planning on leaving at 6:00 am local time tomorrow morning.    Brandon
